We already reported on the Multilateral Framework Convention on ordinary cross-border telework on August 1, 2023.
\nThis agreement makes it possible for employees, under certain conditions, to spend up to 49.99% of their working hours in the form of telework in their country of residence and still be subject to social security contributions in the employer country.<\/p>\n
In addition to Germany, Switzerland, Austria, the Netherlands, Belgium, Luxembourg, the Czech Republic, Lichtenstein, Slovakia, Finland, Norway, France, Poland, Spain, Portugal, Malta, Croatia and Sweden joined the agreement in July 2023.<\/p>\n
Slovenia has been part of the agreement since September 1st.<\/p>\n
On December 28, 2023, Italy signed the Framework Convention on Social Security for Telework, valid from January 1, 2024.<\/p>\n
