On 08.01.2021, Israel entered into its third and hardest lockdown yet. The new lockdown will continue for at least the next 2 weeks. Because of this, the entry ban of foreign nationals has also been extended.<\/p>\n

However, foreign nationals who received an entry permit to Israel during the COVID-19 pandemic are exempt from this regulation. These foreign nationals must spend 10 days in quarantine and present 2 negative COVID-19 tests upon entry. Individuals who have been in South Africa in the past 14 days must spend 10 days in isolation at a government facility.<\/p>\n
In addition, new applications for re-entry of foreign experts (currently holding valid B-1 working visas), as well as their dependents, will not be processed in the next two weeks. Nevertheless, the Ministry may allow entry for a few foreign experts that are deemed by the Ministry to be essential to the Israeli market such as those working in power plants, oil refinery operations, etc.<\/p>\n
