All visitors traveling to Israel from visa-exempt countries must apply for a travel authorization: ETA-IL (Electronic Travel Authorization to Israel) from January 1, 2025.
What you need to know:
• It is mandatory to apply for an ETA-IL before a traveler embarks on a flight to Israel. The application should be made at least 72 hours before departure.
• ETA-IL only applies to visa-exempt countries.
• Please remember that an ETA-IL is not a work permit!
• This authorization is valid for up to 2 years or until the current passport expires – whichever comes first.
• If you apply for an ETA-IL, you can travel to Israel and stay there for up to 90 days.
To apply for the ETA-IL, please follow this link.
If any of the following apply to you, you do not need an ETA-IL:
1. The expert has an online work visa valid for up to one year and a multi-entry visa.
2. The expert has a single-entry visa issued by the consulate (as part of a long-term work visa).
Please feel free to contact us if you have any questions about visa issues!
