Italy signs framework agreement on cross-border teleworking

We already reported on the Multilateral Framework Convention on ordinary cross-border telework on August 1, 2023.
This agreement makes it possible for employees, under certain conditions, to spend up to 49.99% of their working hours in the form of telework in their country of residence and still be subject to social security contributions in the employer country.

In addition to Germany, Switzerland, Austria, the Netherlands, Belgium, Luxembourg, the Czech Republic, Lichtenstein, Slovakia, Finland, Norway, France, Poland, Spain, Portugal, Malta, Croatia and Sweden joined the agreement in July 2023.

Slovenia has been part of the agreement since September 1st.

On December 28, 2023, Italy signed the Framework Convention on Social Security for Telework, valid from January 1, 2024.
